Welcome to the Chen Lab at Westlake University! Our lab is dedicated to advancing pain, opioid, and anesthesia research. With a unique perspective rooted in both neuroscience and anesthesiology, we combine hands-on experimental techniques with cutting-edge computational approaches to explore the neurobiology of pain, opioids, and general anesthesia. By exploring these clinically impactful areas at the circuit, cellular, and synaptic levels, we aim to uncover insights that can ultimately improve patient care and outcomes.
